When implanting a made to measure arthroplasty, the operation proceeds differently than with a conventional prosthesis. As a surgeon you have to be flexible. Familiar reference points are no longer reliable and new ones must be found. A certain learning curve in the beginning is unavoidable. A precise working methodology and experience with the system are key. Prof. Arnold has been working with the new technique since 2015 and therefore has both of these aspects covered.
