Since 2011 made-to-measure, image-based 3D individualized prostheses have been implanted. Since 2015 the most modern generation of the conventional knee prostheses have been used. The materials (Vitallium alloy, classical surgical steel for the femur or Titanium for the tibia components, highly crosslinked polyethylene for the inlay) are proven. The attachment to the bone with bone cement has also been proven reliable. The same reliable principles are being used for individually made knee prostheses.

We know, based on the classical implants, that after 15 years about 90 to 95% are still doing their job. There is nothing to suggest otherwise with respect to the individually made knee prosthesis – rather the opposite. British data results suggest a reduction up to one third in revision rates in the first years after the implantation of a individually made knee implant.
